Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น) is a province and city in the northeastern region of Thailand, known as Isaan (Isan). The city is medium sized, not too big, but big enough to offer a few things to do and attractions, and some pretty delicious food. Probably the most famous thing to eat in Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น) is all types of som tam (ส้มตำ Thai green papaya salad) with sticky rice (khao neow).
