Planes is an upcoming spin-off of the 2006 animated Pixar film Cars and the first film in the Planes trilogy. Sequel is called Planes 2 Fire and Rescue. Pixar animation studios will not be producing the film. Instead, its being produced by Disneytoon Studios and by John Lasseter, the director of Cars. It'll be theatrically released by Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3D. Dusty is a cropdusting plane who dreams of competing in Wings Around the Globe race but he's afraid of heights. With the support of his mentor Skipper, his girlfriend Rochelle and lots of new friends, Dusty sets off to make his dreams come true. Skipper was the one teaching Mater how to fly in the cars toons air mater. He has a flight school in Propwash Junction. less
