We're checking out some Project Highrise gameplay, a game compared to SimTower and one many are saying is what SimTower Should have been. In Ep 1 of this Let's Play, we take the reigns of the very first campaign that gets presented out of the three options, the Neighborhood Revitalization. You can build in the sandbox mode, or gain badges in the campaign mode so you can get access to more difficult campaigns.

The gameplay is actually very satisfying. It's rather relaxing, you can speed up and pause at your leisure, and it really does remind me of other management games that I've been playing such as Rimworld. Of course, no lives are at stake and the environment isn't trying to kill you, instead you are looking to build your tower, keep those tenants happy, and make a lot of money. There are overlays to see each of the statistics of any part of the tower presented in color codes (VERY similar to Aven Colony for instance) and you can click on any section to get distinct quotes about how the tenant or visitor is feeling. You want to generate buzz so you can run marketing campaigns to draw new interest to your tower, you gain influence to get new consultants to make your tower more impressive, and you can take contacts (kind of like quests) to make additional cash rewards. Project Highrise also has mod support, so there is a lot of potential flexibility here. less
